Exhibition Dates: February 22 – March 6, 2005
The Wilhelmina Boldt Art Exhibition, part of Marymount University’s permanent collection, will be shown in the Barry Gallery from February 22 through March 6, 2005. The exhibit features work that includes color and material studies of decorative interior spaces designed by students of the International Institute of Interior Design. The 40 framed pieces illustrate beautifully rendered floor plans, elevations, perspectives, and three-dimensional models of interior spaces.
The International Institute of Interior Design was founded in 1957 by Mabelle Wilhelmina Boldt and served the Washington metropolitan area as an established school of Interior Design for over thirty years. Kazuko Bach director of IIAD, generously donated the collection to Marymount University in the early 1990’s. The collection reflects the spirit and direction of the classical curriculum taught at IIAD.
The Barry Gallery is located in the Reinsch Library on the University’s Main Campus, 2807 North Glebe Road, Arlington, VA. The Gallery hours are Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
