|The Learning Resource Center, located on the ground floor of the Reinsch library building, provides tutoring assistance in mathematics, writing, and study skills for a broad range of courses.|
|Math Assistance is available through scheduled workshops and
on an appointment basis. Math tutors can provide assistance for a wide range of math
courses including MA100A and MA100B, MA119, MA121, MA127, MA142, calculus, and statistics. Math
tutors can also help you review the math skills you need in courses such as chemistry,
nursing, and economics.
|Writing Assistance is available
at any stage of the writing process--from getting started to final editing. LRC
writing tutors are good writers and friendly critics who want to help you improve your
writing. They can help you figure out an assignment, overcome "writer's block,"
or discover your thesis. Our tutors won't proofread your papers for you, but they can
teach you how to find your own errors and avoid them in the future.
Tutoring assistance is available for a wide range of science, nursing, and health fitness management courses. Students can also use CD-ROM programs to review pre-algebra, algebra, and anatomy and physiology. Med math practice exams are also available.
|Reading and Study
Help on topics such as vocabulary development, reading comprehension, note-taking and test-taking is available on request. Assistance in subjects such as accounting, biology, computer science, economics, history, philosophy, and psychology is available as well.
